Job Description:
Ascension is seeking a dedicated and skilled Interventional
Radiology Technologist to join our faith-based healthcare
organization. As part of our team, you will play a critical role in
delivering high-quality, compassionate, and personalized care using
advanced imaging technologies to support diagnostic and therapeutic
procedures. This position involves working closely with physicians
and other healthcare professionals in a fast-paced, patient-focused
environment that emphasizes community well-being through innovative
healthcare solutions. Operate advanced radiological equipment to
perform complex diagnostic imaging and therapeutic interventions.
Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare providers to
plan and execute procedures that require imaging guidance such as
angioplasties, embolizations, and biopsies. Prepare patients for
procedures, explaining the process, ensuring comfort, and
addressing concerns to reduce anxiety. Maintain and ensure the
sterile environment of the interventional suite and adherence to
all infection control protocols. Monitor patient conditions during
procedures and report any irregularities or changes in patient
responses to the medical team. Document procedural logs and input
data into patient records with accuracy and privacy compliance.
Regularly inspect and perform routine maintenance on imaging
equipment to ensure operational efficacy and safety. Participate in
ongoing education and training to stay abreast of advancements in
interventional radiology technologies and practices. Proficiency in
the use of interventional radiology equipment and imaging software.
Strong understanding of radiation safety and protocols. Excellent
interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with
patients and healthcare teams. Critical thinking and
problem-solving abilities in high-pressure environments. Attention
to detail and precision in conducting imaging and recording data.
Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance
401k Certified Radiology Technician (CRT) license Registration with
the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT),
specifically in Vascular-Interventional Radiography (VI) is
preferred.
