Medical Laboratory Technician Location: Austin, TX Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,630 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/20/2026 About the Position Job Title: Medical Technologist Profession: Medical Technologist Specialty: Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Not specified Certifications: Not specified Must-Have: - Plate reading experience - Gram stains experience - Culture set up experience Description: This is a contract position for a Medical Technologist in the Microbiology Laboratory. The assignment is for 13 weeks with day shifts scheduled from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. No call is required for this position. Candidates must have experience in plate reading. The laboratory utilizes various equipment and methodologies, including Biofire, Cepheid, Bactec, Liat, Sofia, Solana, Maldi-tof, Microscan, and EMR. Candidates should have experience with the same analyzers and procedures. Preferred experience includes working with Meditech. Typical procedures performed include respiratory panels, blood culture identification, and rapid kit tests. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, team player, flexible, quick learner, and able to multitask. Dress code requires sage green tops and black bottoms.
