Job Description Job Description Sales Representative – Collegiate Programs: Health and Wellness Location: Austin, TX Compensation: $80,000–$120,000 (Base Commission) About the Role We are seeking an experienced Sales Representative to serve as the local market owner for collegiate partnership programs in the Houston area. This role supports an established collegiate program with existing university partnerships already in place. The focus is on relationship management, inbound opportunity handling, and new business development across universities, athletic departments, and affiliated campus organizations. The Ideal candidates bring prior sales experience in health insurance, benefits, wellness programs, or sports-adjacent environments and are comfortable operating independently in a client-facing role. Key Responsibilities Act as the primary local sales representative for collegiate partners in the local Texas market Manage and grow relationships with existing university and program stakeholders Field and qualify inbound leads generated through partnerships and outreach Conduct in-person meetings, presentations, and campus visits Develop new relationships with athletic departments, student organizations, and campus leadership Own the full sales cycle, from initial outreach through close Coordinate internally on pricing, proposals, and program execution Track pipeline, activity, and performance in CRM systems Represent the program at local events, conferences, and networking opportunities Qualifications Prior experience in health insurance sales, employee benefits, or wellness-related programs Strong relationship-building and consultative selling skills Ability to manage a territory independently with accountability for results Professional communication, presentation, and follow-up skills Organized, self-motivated, and comfortable in fast-paced environments Active health insurance license or willingness to obtain (company supported) Preferred Experience Sales experience involving universities, collegiate athletics, or sports programs Background working with institutional or professional clients Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience Compensation & Benefits $80,000–$120,000 total compensation (base salary commission) Full benefits package including health, dental, vision, and retirement options Defined territory with established partnerships Opportunity for long-term growth as the collegiate program expands
