Assembler II - Wired Cabinets
The Assembler II - Wired Cabinets person assembles and constructs
traffic signals, enclosures, and panels.

Requirements
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to

below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability

Must be able to read, write and speak English to a satisfactory
level.
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma/GED or relevant electronics/assembly
experience
Experience level: 3-6 years of demonstrated experience listed in
essential duties in at least 2 of the following areas (Loadbay
assembly, mechanical assembly, mini-easel, cabinet prep, cable
assembly, final cabinet assembly, or equivalent area in the Caltran
value stream).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1. Must have an aptitude for electronic control equipment
2. Must be able to pay attention to detail consistently
3. Must be able to work in a team environment
4. Must be able to perform all of the essential duties including
working from incomplete documentation such as dwg's, BOM's,
assembly prints, and / or cut lists. Able to communicate
effectively with Engineering to support build of the product from
partial documentation or red line drawings. Must be able to create
a redline drawing and or cut list by supplying the correct
information.
There must be a need to for an Assembler II to support the needs of
the organization.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required
to sit, stand, and stoop; talk or hear; and use hands to finger,
handle, or touch objects or controls. The employee is regularly
required to stand and walk. The employee is required to use hands
repetitively.
The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific
vision abilities required by this job include close vision,
distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions
and ability to adjust focus.
The employee must be to work 8-hour shifts.
