POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES

Demonstrates an understanding of all procedures performed, a thorough understanding of all work processes and safety issues in specific assigned areas, and possesses excellent customer service initiatives. - Recognizes a patient's physical limitations and provides appropriate support to assure the patient's -safety. Helps to expedite patients' procedures by assisting the radiology technologist in any area of the radiology department. Promotes the University Health System's Guest Relations Program.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent experience required. Enrollment in a Radiology Technologist program with at least one semester of clinical coursework completed OR completion of a recognized -nursing attendant/aide program -OR -six months' experience as a nursing attendant, patient transporter, or other related healthcare experience may be a -substitute OR graduation from an approved Radiology Technician program pending licensureure from the State of Texas. Experience in a radiology working environment is preferred, with knowledge of safety issues.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION

- - - - - - - - - - - -Current AHA Healthcare Provider CPR certification is required.
