Job Description:
Encompass Health, a leader in integrated healthcare services, is
seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to join our team. In this vital
role, you will be instrumental in providing nutritional care
tailored to the needs of our patients, both in facility-based and
home-based settings. You will collaborate with dietitians and
kitchen staff to prepare and serve meals, ensure adherence to
dietary restrictions, and promote a healthy eating environment.

Prepare dietary information for use by kitchen personnel in meal
preparation. Collate patient dietary requirements and preferences,
ensuring strict compliance with dietary restrictions. Assist in the
preparation and service of meals and snacks. Maintain clean and
sanitary conditions in the kitchen and dining areas. Monitor
patient intake and report progress or concerns to dietary
supervisor or dietician. Educate and advise patients and families
on nutritional principles, dietary plans, and diet modifications.
Knowledge of basic nutrition and dietary protocols Familiarity with
kitchen sanitation and safety procedures Excellent communication
and interpersonal skills Ability to comply with precise
instructions Capability to stand for extended periods and handle
moderate to heavy lifting Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance 401k Food Handler's certificate or ServSafe certification
preferred Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or similar qualifications
a plus, but not required
