master planned communities in Texas, Cordillera Ranch. This
9,100-acre oasis in the Texas Hill Country is comprised of 7
separate clubs whose goal is to create unique and memorable member
experiences. The Clubs of Cordillera Ranch is a unique facility in
every right. The family atmosphere established by the members and
ownership creates a laid-back culture whilst upholding the standard
expectations of a high-end facility. The Cordillera Ranch Aquatics
staff are expected to uphold and grow this culture daily to ensure
a satisfying member and staff environment. The next member of this

environment for our members and staff. Job Summary Reporting to the
Director of Aquatics and Swimming Pool Manager, The Clubs of
Cordillera Ranch Swim Instructors are enthusiastic, confident,
motivated and assist in leading other special programs as assigned.
Under general supervision, lifeguards are responsible for
protecting the safety and well-being of each patron using The Clubs
of Cordillera Ranch Aquatic Facilities. Responsible for the
supervision, discipline, and customer service of all members, their
children, and their guests using the adult infinity pool, lap pool,
slide pool or toddler wading pool facilities. Requirements: Work
Hours Shifts will vary during pool operating hours from 9:00 a.m. –
9:00 p.m.; Tuesday - Sunday. Shifts will vary during Lifeguard
training classes, special events, holidays and Aquatics programs.
Essential Job Functions Ensures the safety of patrons. Enforces all
pool rules and regulations consistently. Coordinates emergency
procedures or provide first aid and CPR in emergency situations,
which requires occasional lifting and carrying up to 15 pounds to
administer emergency protocol. Keep first aid supplies stocked &
ready at all times. Ensure rescue tubes and shepherds hooks are
setup daily in designated areas. Performs general
maintenance/custodial functions as required. Vacuum & skim pool and
perform chlorine and pH tests of water daily. May perform the
duties of the Water Safety Instructor, including swim tests for all
children who enter the pool. Document swim test pass or fail
accordingly. Participates in continuous in-service skills training.
Performs related duties and fulfills responsibilities as required.
Engage & interact with children through various areas such as swim
lessons, events, camps and/or pool deck games as directed. Assist
with event setups & tear downs. Assist with and coordinate with the
food & beverage team to keep all pool areas clean & clear. Job
Requirements Formal or informal education or training which ensures
the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful
job performance. Successful completion of a nationally recognized
Lifeguard Training, including Lifeguard Certification, CPR for the
Professional Rescuer, and Standard First Aid within 14 days of hire
Maintain fitness level of swimming. Cordillera Pool Equipment
Certification (Completed during training & must pass to continue
employment) Commit to working a full summer season from Memorial
Day to Labor Day. Ability to work outside in the poolside area up
to 95% of the time, exposed to sunlight, wet and humid conditions,
and heat occasionally exceeding 100 degrees and cold as 50 degrees
Ability to spend long periods of time in the water Preferred
Qualifications Lifeguard Instructor Certification Water Safety
Instructor Certification Applicant Information If selected for this
position, certifications and licenses must be submitted at the time

of Cordillera Ranch in this position must receive satisfactory
results from pre-employment background checks. Knowledge, Skills,
and Abilities Knowledge for presenting a positive, enthusiastic
image of the Aquatics Departments, its pools, and programs.
Preferred Skilled in swimming instruction and assisting in all
swimming programs as directed. Ability to watch, direct, and
safeguard members, their children and their guests. Ability to
rescue and perform emergency First Aid to people in danger of
drowning. Ability to be responsible for keeping the building and
grounds in a safe, clean, and sanitary condition. Ability to clean
the swimming pool, deck, skim filters, restrooms, showers, entrance
to pool, and other areas as required. Ability to test water for
proper chlorine/pH levels. Ability to perform all the essential
functions of the position, with or without accommodations. Pay Rate
· Hourly starting at $15 per hour with no previous experience
