Job Description Job Description W.E.Care Optometry is looking for a reliable front desk/optometric tech/assistant. Experience a plus, but not necessary. Spanish speaking is a plus. We have 4 locations. Three of the four are Tuesday through Saturday. One is Monday through Saturday. Mon-Fri hours are 9-5 for patient care, Sat is 8:30-4:00pm. Attributes of the ideal candidate: - Team player with excellent customer relation skills - Professional and friendly with staff and patients - Exhibit maturity, reliability, and composure - Excellent written, oral communication, and telephone skills - Must possess strong time management, organization, and multitasking skills - Proficient with computer applications - Experience with explaining vision plan benefits, and appropriately filing to vision insurance plans if needed - Must be willing to work Saturday - Previous work experience in an optometry practice is a plus Job Duties - Job duties include but are not limited to: - Checking in and out all incoming and outgoing patients - Overseeing patient flow - Verifying vision and medical insurance benefits - Processing payments - Must be able to work efficiently with or without supervision - Communicating with doctors, staff and patients - Scheduling and confirming patient appointments - Answering telephone and attending to patient needs - Be proficient with trouble shooting and handling patient concerns effectively - Maintaining a clean and organized front office Pay depends on experience.
