Job Description:
HCA Healthcare is actively seeking a compassionate and skilled
Registered Nurse to join our Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
Recovery Room team. This role offers you the unique opportunity to
deliver superior post-surgical care in a patient-centered
environment. As a vital member of our nursing staff, you will
monitor patients as they recover from anesthesia, ensuring their
safety and providing vital support during the recovery process.
Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, you will help
effectuate our mission to care for and improve human life at one of
our cutting-edge healthcare facilities. Monitor patient vital signs
and levels of consciousness during the recovery from anesthesia.
Assess patients' post-operative needs and pain management,
adjusting medications as prescribed by the healthcare provider.
Implement nursing interventions and physician orders promptly and
effectively. Educate patients and their families on post-procedure
care and recovery expectations. Maintain accurate, detailed reports
and records of patient observations. Ensure the recovery room is
prepared with necessary supplies and equipment. Contribute to the
development of nursing care standards and protocols. Proficiency in
monitoring and assessing post-operative patients. Strong
understanding of pain management techniques. Excellent
communication and patient education skills. Ability to work
effectively in a fast-paced environment. Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered
Nurse licensure in the state of practice. Basic Life Support (BLS)
Certification. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
preferred.
