Job Description:
Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse
(LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team of
passionate healthcare professionals in our inpatient rehabilitation
facility. This role is pivotal in providing top-tier care for
patients recovering from strokes, brain injuries, and other complex
neurological and orthopedic conditions. Our goal is to empower our
patients towards the highest levels of independence through
compassionate care and effective rehabilitation programs. Provide
professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician
orders and established patient care plans. Assist with the
administration of medications and the measurement of vital signs.
Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
Support patient independence through teaching and proper care
techniques. Participate in the multidisciplinary team to plan and
implement patient care. Ensure the patient environment is safe and
compliant with healthcare laws, regulations, and standards.
Proficient in nursing best practices and standards of care. Ability
to administer medications and conduct essential diagnostic tests.
Effective communication skills for interacting with patients,
families, and healthcare team members. Strong observational and
organizational skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance 401k Current LPN/LVN license in the state of practice.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
