Job Description:
HCA Healthcare, a preeminent provider of healthcare services
across the United States, is currently seeking a highly skilled
Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT) on a PRN (Pro Re Nata - as
needed) basis to join our dedicated team. This role involves
providing top-notch respiratory care services under the direct
supervision of departmental leaders, adhering to our commitment to
improve human life. Utilizing cutting-edge technology and
procedures, the Respiratory Care Practitioner will engage in a wide
range of respiratory treatments, therapeutic interventions and
diagnostic tests as part of a dynamic healthcare environment.
Conduct diagnostic tests to assess patient’s lung capacities and
determine respiratory therapy treatment. Consult with physicians to
develop patient treatment plans. Perform therapeutic procedures by
administering medication and aerosol treatments, and maintaining
airways. Monitor patient physiological responses to therapy, such
as vital signs and blood chemistry changes, and adjust treatment
protocols accordingly. Educate patients and families about lung
health, including management techniques and disease prevention.
Document patient care services by charting in patient and
department records. Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work
environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Advanced knowledge of respiratory care protocols and procedures
Proficiency in the use of medical gases and respiratory equipment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent
interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work
collaboratively in a multidisciplinary health team Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k
Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification by the
National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). Active state licensure
as a Respiratory Therapist (specific requirements may vary by
state). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Advanced
Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
