Job Description:
Ascension is seeking a highly dedicated and skilled RN
Registered Nurse for our Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) to
join our faith-based healthcare team. At Ascension, we thrive on

in a supportive community setting. This role demands precision and
passion for specialized care, ensuring the highest surgical and
recovery outcomes for cardiovascular patients. Assist in surgical
operations specific to cardiovascular surgeries under the
supervision of surgeons and anesthesiologists. Prepare the
operating room: ensuring cleanliness, functionality of surgical
instruments, and availability of necessary equipment. Maintain
sterile environments, adhering strictly to infection control
protocols. Assess, monitor, and ensure patients' safety during
pre-operative and post-operative phases. Record patients’ medical
information and vital signs, and update medical records accurately.
Collaborate with surgical team and healthcare professionals to
provide personalized care aligned with Ascension's mission of
innovation and compassionate service. Educate patients and their
families on post-operative care and cardiovascular health
management. Expertise in cardiovascular patient care and safety
Profound knowledge of surgical operations and procedures in a CVOR
setting Ability to work effectively in a high-stress environment
Strong interpersonal and communication skills Exceptional attention
to detail and problem-solving skills Medical Insurance Dental

Nurse (RN) license Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR)
certification preferred Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
