Job Summary and Qualifications The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures and delivers high quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift. In collaboration with other with established policies/procedures, serves as a resource person for staff, and models a commitment to the organization’s vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance. Understands the personal obligation to report any activity that appears to violate applicable laws, rules regulations or the Code of Conduct itself. - Completes other duties as assigned. About the Unit: - 20 bed Medical ICU - Patient to Nurse ratio 2:1 - Cares for a variety of complex patients to include: sepsis, DKA, stroke/seizures, liver and renal disease, respiratory failure, etc - Unit offers individualized orientation with dedicated preceptors and specialized classes - Doctors are invested in the staff and provide educational offerings to increase knowledge base - Our nurses take pride in what they do and focus on their WHY every day to provide exceptional care What is required: - Graduate of an accredited diploma, associate or baccalaureate degree in nursing required - BSN preferred - Minimum of 1 year working as a Registered Nurse (RN) required - 3 years of recent RN experience in an ICU setting strongly preferred - Current Texas licensure as a Registered Nurse required. If Compact RN license, must have TX RN license within 90 days of hire.
