Job Description:
Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist
Assistant to join our team of healthcare professionals in
delivering exceptional care and innovative treatments in a
post-acute care setting. As a core member of our rehabilitation
team, the Physical Therapist Assistant will work under the
direction of a licensed physical therapist to help patients regain
movement and manage pain following illnesses, injuries, or
surgeries. This role is pivotal in assisting patients in their
journey towards recovery and ensuring the highest quality of
patient-centered care. Assist physical therapists in implementing
specific care plans for patients. Help patients perform specific
exercises as part of the plan of care. Train patients in exercises
and activities of daily living. Utilize various therapy modalities
and equipment under the supervision of a physical therapist.
Document patient's progress and report to a physical therapist.
Communicate with patients, family members, and other healthcare
team members to ensure effective care delivery. Proficiency in
using therapy equipment and performing physical therapy modalities.
Ability to follow written and oral instructions effectively. Strong
interpersonal and communication skills. Comprehensive understanding
of compliance with safety and sanitation standards. Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Valid Physical
Therapist Assistant state license. CPR and First Aid certification
preferred.
