Job Description:

Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team of healthcare professionals in providing personalized, post-acute rehabilitative care in our state-of-the-art facilities. As part of our team, you will work closely under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, implementing patient care plans and facilitating recovery with the highest standards of patient-centered care. This role requires a deep commitment to patient health, a thorough understanding of physical therapy modalities, and the ability to adapt to varying patient needs. Implement patient care plans as established by the primary Physical Therapist. Assist patients in performing specific exercises as part of the plan of care. Monitor patient progress and report patient status to the supervising Physical Therapist. Educate patients and families about health programs and maintaining appropriate physical health. Maintain patient records and comply with all legal and safety regulations. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care. Skill in using physical therapy equipment and tools. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to adhere to protocols and react effectively in emergency situations.
