Job Description The UT Health San Antonio Primary Care Center is currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Geriatrician to join our team. As a Geriatrician, you will provide specialized medical care to elderly patients, focusing on managing and preventing age-related health issues. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care and support. Responsibilities: - Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans for elderly patients - Diagnose and manage chronic conditions common in older adults - Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and outcomes - Educate patients and their families on aging-related health concerns and preventive measures - Stay updated on advancements in geriatric medicine and implement best practices in patient care Qualifications: - Board certification in Internal Medicine - Subspecialty certification in Geriatric Medicine is preferred - Valid Texas Medical License and DEA registration - Experience working as a geriatrician, preferably in a clinical setting - Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team - Dedication to providing compassionate care to elderly patients Benefits: - Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision and more - TRS or ORP Retirement Plans - Paid Time Off - CME Allowance - Occurrence Malpractice Insurance San Antonio, Texas is the State's 1 tourist venue, enjoying a wonderful year-round climate and a wide range of cultural and recreational activities.
