Job Description:
Ascension is seeking a dedicated and compassionate RN Assistant
Manager for our Oncology Nursing department. This leadership role
involves overseeing the nursing operations within the oncology
unit, fostering a supportive environment, and ensuring high
standards of patient care. This position supports the mission of

operations of the oncology nursing department. Ensure adherence to
all hospital and departmental policies and regulations. Coordinate
patient care with other healthcare professionals, ensuring optimal
patient outcomes. Participate in the recruitment, training, and
professional development of nursing staff. Evaluate patient care
plans and advocate for necessary changes to enhance patient
outcomes. Implement new procedures and technologies in line with
Ascension's mission of healthcare innovation. Strong leadership and
organizational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal
skills Proficient in electronic medical record (EMR) systems
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of Oncology care practices and protocols Medical

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment
Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred
