Must-Have: Oncology Background Chemotherapy Experience Description:
The unit consists of 14 exam rooms, 21 infusion bays, and 5
treatment rooms. The staff includes 18 members with various roles
including front office, office RNs, medical assistants, fast track
RNs, infusion RNs, infusion room nursing coordinators, and patient
care technicians. Patient ratios are 10:1 for office RNs and 6:1
for infusion RNs. The unit is equipped with IV pumps and remote
patient monitoring systems. The electronic medical record system
used is Meditech. Typical procedures performed in the unit include
chemotherapy and biotherapy administration, stem cell infusion with
pre and post care, and immune effector cell infusion along with
patient management. Candidates must demonstrate flexibility and the
ability to multitask. Preferred qualifications include experience
in bone marrow transplant and immune effector cell therapy. Shifts
may include every other weekend. Dress code is navy blue scrubs.
