Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: San Antonio, TX Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,755 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year License: RN License required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Candidates must have skills in managing burn and reconstructive patients as well as stroke and cardiac patients. Description: This is a Progressive Care Unit specializing in burn and reconstructive care. The unit has a total of 22 beds and 35 staff members. Day shift consists of 1 Free Float Charge Nurse, 6 Registered Nurses, 2 Patient Care Technicians, and 1 Unit Clerk. Night shift has 1 Free Float Charge Nurse, 6 Registered Nurses, and 2 Patient Care Technicians. The typical patient ratio is 1:3/4. Standard medical equipment is utilized in the unit. The electronic medical record system in use is Meditech. Dressing changes are common procedures performed on this unit. Candidates must demonstrate independence and be able to work within a team. Every other weekend is required, and there is no on-call duty. Preferred candidates will have experience in similar settings.
