Ascension is seeking a dedicated and skilled RN- Antepartum to join our faith-based healthcare team. This position requires a compassionate professional who is committed to providing exceptional care to pregnant women during the antepartum period. This role is pivotal in educating and supporting women and their families during one of the most important phases of their lives. Monitor maternal physical and emotional health during the antepartum period. Work closely with obstetricians and other healthcare professionals to develop individual care plans. Administer medications as prescribed and monitor for side-effects. Educate pregnant women and their families on prenatal health, potential pregnancy complications, and childbirth options. Record patients' medical histories and monitor vital signs, ensuring any concerns are addressed promptly. Provide support and guidance on nutritional needs, exercise, and overall health to optimize pregnancy outcomes. Assist in the management of pregnancy-related conditions such as gestational diabetes, hypertension, and pre-eclampsia. Strong interpersonal communication skills Proficient in monitoring fetal heartbeat and maternal health indicators Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team Knowledge of prenatal and antepartum care best practices Expertise in patient assessment and crisis management Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice BLS Certification ACLS Certification preferred Certification in Inpatient Obstetric Nursing (RNC-OB) is advantageous
