David's Medical Center! Job Summary and Qualifications The
Registered Nurse (RN) CM is responsible for promoting
patient-centered care by coordinating the plan of care for the
patient stay, managing the length of stay, ensuring appropriate
resource management, and developing a safe appropriate discharge
plan in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. The RN CM
facilitates the progression and transition of care using
established criteria and in conjunction with the multidisciplinary
team. The RN CM will coordinate activities that promote quality
outcomes and patient throughput while supporting a balance of
optimal care and appropriate resource utilization. What
qualifications you will need: Education & Experience: Associate
Degree in Nursing* or Nursing Diploma Required Bachelor’s Degree in
Nursing Preferred 2 years experience in case management OR 3 years
experience in clinical nursing Required InterQual experience
*Required Associate Degree in Nursing for any hires after
05/01/2020. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Preferred Or equivalent
combination of education and/or experience Licensure,
Certifications, Training: Currently licensed as a registered
professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active
compact license, in accordance with law and regulation. FT/PT/PRN
colleagues with a compact license from a state other than Texas
must: apply for a Texas RN license within 60 days from hire obtain
current Texas RN license within 6 months of application for Texas
RN license 60 Days to apply for Texas RN license; 6 Months to
obtain TX RN license Certification in Case Management Preferred
Program Requirements Applicable to all hospitals in the Austin
market, unless specifically noted for select facilities. All
seasonal staff are required to work a minimum of 72 hours per pay
period during the seasonal period. Regardless of start date,
seasonal program/assignment ends on March 31, 2026. Within a close
geography, you may be asked to float to another facility that has
an emergent staffing need. Four (4) weekend shifts are required
each 4 week schedule period. During the course of the 32-week
period, the employee is required to work two (2) holiday shifts
(defined by Department Manager or designee), if holidays fall
during their temporary assignment period. Seasonal Staff are
TEMPORARY status employees and are subject to first call-off. There
are no guaranteed hours by the hospital. Seasonal Staff will not be
eligible for benefits. Registered Nurses who are in the Seasonal
program will have one opportunity to pass the clinical competency
evaluation. Registered Nurses who join the Seasonal program and
have a nursing compact license with a state other than Texas, will
not be required to obtain a Texas Compact License while in this
TEMPORARY status. Current FT/PT & PRN employees are not eligible to
join the Seasonal program. Active HWS employees or former HWS
employees who have worked with HWS in the prior 3 months are not
eligible for the seasonal program. Shifts may vary based on the
needs of the department. St. David’s Medical Center , part of St.
