Job Description Genie Healthcare is seeking a Physician Assistant Family Practice for a local contract job in Austin, Texas. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Family Practice - Discipline: Physician Assistant - Start Date: 08/01/2025 - Duration: 26 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Local Contract Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant needed in Austin Texas! Contract position for 6 months and then can extend or direct hire Must start 8/1/25 40 hours weekly - Monday thru Friday - 8:00am - 5:00pm We're looking for a Physician Assistant to join our team at a newly opened clinic. This is a customer service position requiring exceptional medical knowledge and customer service skills, and candidates must have experience with HIPAA regulations. Certified as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. Must hold all required licenses and certification to practice in Texas state. Responsibilities: · Ability to properly use equipment and supplies in simple diagnostic and treatment procedures. · Works within their scope of practice, facility Standing Orders/Standing Operating Procedures and protocols, and within the Collaborative Agreement. · Maintains patient confidentiality and privacy of medical records, complies with HIPAA regulations as applicable, performs record keeping functions in accordance with program policies · Understands holistic and lifestyle medicine · Individual is responsible for providing patient care in the Clinic including seeing, treating, and evaluating patients and patients seeking wellness services, collecting and performing CLIA Waived lab tests, documenting accurately on patient’s charts. · Coordinate day to day care with patients · Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications: · Must have a minimum of one year of experience as a licensed Physician’s Assistant in direct patient care. · Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus but not required. · Able to walk, stand, bend, or sit for extended periods. · Must be able to read, write and speak English to effectively communicate. · Individual is licensed to treat patients in Texas and Pennsylvania. · One to two years medical experience in a Clinic (preferred) · Be an outgoing individual with a friendly attitude · Have strong attention to detail · Must have outstanding communication, interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills · Complying with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements · Understands technology and is comfortable working with AI applications like ChatGPT and EMR interfaces · Education: PA-C (Preferred), Physician Assistant License · Experience: Three years preferred but not required · Have knowledge of clinic procedures and regulatory requirements · Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism About Genie Healthcare Genie Healthcare is one of the fastest growing Nurse Travel Agencies in the USA.
