Baylor Scott & White Health Medical Center is seeking a Full Time Registered Nurse Charge Nurse to join our Ortho Trauma Progressive Care Unit (5 South). Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital is a 636-bed specialty care teaching hospital and the only Level 1 Trauma Center between Dallas and Austin.Schedule: Full Time - Nights - 36 hours per weekUnit SummaryThis is a 35-bed monitored nursing unit that provides the opportunity to work with a wide variety of patients ranging from adults to Geriatrics. The conditions that are within the scope of service include the following but are not limited to:

• Post ICU trauma patients (serious traumatic injury to 2 or more body systems)
• Complex Plastic reconstructive surgeries (including reconstructive flaps and graft sites, post cancer reconstruction, and trauma related reconstruction)
• Complex ENT patients including free muscle flaps and neck dissections.
• Complex ENT reconstructive tracheostomies and laryngectomies
• Traumatic Complex Fractures and musculoskeletal wounds
• Elective Joint Replacements - Rapid Recovery Program
• Sports Injuries
• Spinal Deformities
• Complicated Pelvic, Hip, and compression Fractures
• Skeletal Malformations and Abnormalities
• Amputations and Prosthesis
• Neurosurgery, Vascular Surgery, General Surgery

      • Graduate of RN School of Nursing
      • ADN required
      • Active RN License
      • Basic Life Support (BLS) Require or BLS within 30 days of hire or transferQualifications
        • We are looking for someone who has completed an established program in Nursing.
        • At least (2) two years in the field.
        • Registered Nurse License.
        • You must have Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of being hired.
