- RESPECTAbout The Role:The Star Furniture Store General Manager
is a passionate, dynamic leader who drives the expression of Star's
unique brand through his/her team, producing both an exceptional
shopping experience for Star's customers and strong business
results for the company. The position is central to the long-term
success of Star, responsible for the full store P&L and metrics
while building and cultivating a highly motivated, skilled, and
talented team.The Store General Manager's leadership inspires
Star's customer-centric selling culture, driving sales growth,
margins, and store profitability. You will be responsible for
effectively developing and executing the store plan, including
sales, operations, merchandising, and talent management and
development. Your leadership will strengthen the Star culture of
performance and accountability among all associates, evident in
achieving all goals while producing an outstanding Star Experience
for customers. Through collaboration with the Star leadership team,
you will share learnings and best practices to enhance service and
results throughout the Star business.Specific Accountabilities:
- Develops and executes the store plan to deliver sales goals,
operational, visual, and financial store performance.
- Responsible for store profitability, sales, margins, service
and all related KPI's.
- Recruits, hires, and develops high performing sales associates
and efficient support players, empowering them to provide an
exceptional Star customer experience.
- Spearheads the development of his/her team through consistent
training and effective talent reviews that serve the dual purpose
of measuring performance and improving the team.
- Builds a culture of accountability by establishing clear
expectations and impeccable follow-through.
- Demonstrably improves the performance of the store and team
over time.Experience & Skills Required:
- Sales Driven: Possesses inherent ability to grow sales;
passionate about developing, leading, and maintaining a
high-performance sales team.
- Operational Efficiency: Understands how to run a store
operationally.
- Human Resources: Strong in recruiting, hiring, training, and
development.
- Business Finance Mastery: Business acumen to own and drive a
store P&L; including experience managing margins, expenses and
driving profit.
- Merchandising: Skill in effective execution of visual
presentations.Competencies:
