We are seeking a(an) Administrative Director of Oncology for our

Job Summary and Qualifications
The Director of Operations for Transplant and Cell Therapy provides
direction and support for the on-going development of South Austin
Medical Center TCT and Hematologic Malignancy services for adults.
This position is responsible for aligning multiple departments
(Adult TCT; Collections; Aphaeresis; Cellular Therapy Laboratory
and Hematological Malignancy) and Quality in a common mission while
fostering interdepartmental collaboration across the full continuum
of care. Drives program performance while collaborating with
Inpatient and Outpatient Nursing services. Areas of responsibility
include FACT preparation; contracting; quality and compliance;
program management; strategic development; marketing and outreach,
and research. Reports to ACNO/CNO and has administrative authority
and responsibility for TCT and Hematologic Malignancy Program
related services as well as financial performance.
You will ensure all aspects of TCT services are coordinated to
produce quality patient care and attain maximum utilization of
staff time and resources. Collaborate extensively with physicians;
CEOs, COOs and CNOs; administrative teams, and department managers.
Functions well in a matrix structure. You will identify and
implement strategic and growth objectives. Recommend improvement of
hospital facilities in assigned areas, including construction and
renovation of structures and purchase of new equipment and
technologies. Ensure that the strategies, priorities and operations
are aligned and complementary. You will encourage and assist
department managers in establishing measures of performance
including: Increased productivity, market share, quality
improvement, cost controls and maximum utilization of facilities.
Collaborates with Finance to review contractual arrangements and
reimbursement opportunities. Advise Senior Leader where executive
action is necessary to accomplish these goals. You will develop
forums for best practice development and knowledge sharing and
ensure the managers have the necessary tools and information to
manage effectively. Develop and implement Standard Operating
Procedures for all aspects of the program. Facilitate certification
of personnel and provide for continuing education and training.
Oversee the accreditation process with the Foundation for the
Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT). You will serve as a key
participant in groups focused on TCT services such as: TCT
Executive Committee TCT Quality Improvement TCT Tracking
Hematological Oncology Cancer Committee Research Department CTL
Operations Cost Analysis and Billing You will ensure full, on-going
compliance with all regulatory and accreditation agencies, with
emphasis on FACT accreditation.
What qualifications you will need: Masters Degree must be obtained
within 1 year of employment start date Minimum of five years of
progressive healthcare/hospital management experience required.
Transplant and/or oncology experience required. Clinical experience
in nursing or related field strongly preferred.
St. David's South Austin Medical Center is an acute-care facility

only adult bone marrow transplant program - and Level II trauma

including weight loss surgery, wound care, emergency care, cancer
