ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology
Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1 years speech-language
pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these
qualifications will not be considered. This opportunity is for a
Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide support
services within a school setting in San Antonio, TX. The position
is full-time with a contract duration through May 29, 2026, serving
students across two campuses: a high school and a middle school.
The role requires delivering high-quality speech therapy support
tailored to the needs of students in grades 6-12, with an emphasis
on effective communication and collaboration within the school
environment. Key Responsibilities: - Provide speech-language
pathology assistance to students with diverse communication needs.
- Support caseloads at both the high school (grades 9-12) and
middle school (grades 6-9). - Deliver services 3 days per week at
the high school and 2 days per week at the middle school. - Manage
therapy schedules designed for smaller weekly minutes despite the
caseload size. - Collaborate with school staff and families to
monitor progress and adapt strategies as needed. - Maintain
accurate documentation and comply with district requirements and
credentialing forms. Preferred Qualifications: - Active Texas SLPA
licensure is required. - Experience working in school settings with
students ages 11-18. - Spanish bilingual skills are preferred but
not mandatory. - Strong organizational, communication, and
interpersonal skills. - Flexibility to participate in
pre-employment interviews and complete additional district
paperwork. Location:Work is onsite at two San Antonio schools with
established student populations, requiring travel between both
