All County Surveying, Inc. (ACS) is seeking top performers for positions for a field crew assistant to learn and move up to a Field Chief in our Temple, Texas headquarters. This role involves working in a team environment. Duties include: Following all directives from any assigned Party Chief Maintaining survey equipment, vehicles, and supplies Setting up/taking down surveying equipment, making basic field measurements, and performing basic mathematical calculations and recordings Completing all field and office paperwork legibly and accurately The ideal candidate must possess the following knowledge, experience, and qualities: Possesses strong verbal/written/listening communication skills. Takes, follows and adheres to instructions/directions, especially in regards to ACS, Inc. surveying methods and procedures. Possesses strong organizational skills. Ability to be a team player under all conditions. Ability to perform all duties with integrity and respect at all times. Punctual and reliable Must be able to work flexible hours (including possible weekends and/or out-of-town jobs). Must be able to work in inclement weather. Must be able to work in different types of terrains and environments, including, but not limited to walking on uneven surfaces, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, hiking up and down steep slopes carrying up to 50 pounds of survey equipment, bending, squatting, digging monument holes, pounding in stakes and rebar monuments, carrying and using brush cutting equipment, and climbing stairs. Experience: AN ASSOCIATE'S DEGREE IS PREFERRED, BUT PREVIOUS WORKPLACE EXPERIENCE IN A SIMILAR ROLE WILL BE STRONGLY CONSIDERED . APPLICANT MUST HAVE A VALID TEXAS DRIVER'S LICENSE . VERIFIABLE REFERENCES ARE REQUIRED. Must have 1 to 3 years of field experience in land surveying. Prior to hiring, a background check and drug test are required. Pay: $22.00 DOE - Compensation varies depending on experience and education.
