Monday - Friday 7:00am - 4:00pm Must be able to work a flexible
schedule to include weekends, evenings and holidays as needed.

Time Off, and Paid Holidays. POSITION SUMMARY: The Tree Trimmer
Technician will maintain trees and shrubs to improve appearance,
health, and value of trees and to maintain access to utilities,
roads, and sidewalks. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee
the appropriate maintenance of trees and shrubs as specified in
contract and/or Statement of Work in a deadline-focused
environment, balancing multiple projects and addressing changing
priorities Assists with creation and execution of project work
plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and
requirements. Manages projects of a smaller scale including project
scope, schedule and budget. Insures that said projects are managed
within the requirements of governance/contractual document.
Minimizes project exposure to risks by creating, implementing, and
tracking mitigation and contingency strategies. Conduct, Monitor
and schedule urban tree asset mapping, reporting, crowdsourcing,
and/or other maintenance tracking as a means of updating complete
tree inspection, inventory of work completed and work history.
Perform, assign and/or supervise tree crew while performing
residential and commercial tree pruning and removals in accordance
with ANSI and company standards. Ensure that each crew member is
trained appropriately for each designated assignment Operate an
aerial lift and/or bucket truck when necessary Supervise tree crews
as they Trim and/or remove trees by climbing with the aid of a
ladder, safety belt, climbing line, powered trimmer lift truck, or
works from the ground using gasoline, air, and hand-powered saws,
pruner, etc. Be able to cut branches or trunk sections and drops or
lowers them to the ground with lines - appropriately. Possess
appropriate rigging and lowering skills to perform pruning/removals
safely Perform supplemental support (cabling/bracing) techniques /
methods according to ANSI standards Use wedges, sledges, and chain
saws in felling trees or trimmed trunks and in cutting and
splitting logs into manageable pieces. Sprays stumps and brush with
hand-spraying equipment to prevent further growth. Load/unload
trucks with logs, stumps, brush, and debris and/or feeds brush into
a wood chipper. Repairs slight damage to lawns, fences, and walks
caused by tree trimming. Service gasoline, air, and hand-powered
tools and other equipment as needed. Relays hand-signals, directs
traffic, drives, and operates trucks and equipment, as assigned and
keeps trucks and work area clear and orderly, as well as helps
train new employees. Be responsible for daily production goals and
safety procedures of the crew. Oversees & safeguards employees &
public from hazards in and around work area. Cooperates with
customer, police, and fire departments when blocking street or
driveways. Oversee and/or sets up barriers, warning signs, flags,
markers, etc. to protect employees and public. Assumes
responsibility for the inspection and proper working conditions of
tools, truck, and other work equipment. Requests repair or
replacement, when necessary. Performs other related work, as
assigned by Project Manager/Superiors. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Be
familiar with industry safety standards & procedures; enforce
company safety policies/training Works around hazardous equipment,
falling tree limbs, and traffic hazards Works in close proximity to
energized power lines Works in all temperatures and weather and
will be exposed to nature i.e., irritating plants and biting or
stinging insects, and dust . Works around excessive noise from
machines, e.g. chain saw, wood chipper and other equipment , with
appropriate hearing protection. Work will be performed at varying
heights (while secured) above ground and/or on uneven terrain
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: Must have more than 5 years or
more of related supervisory experiences Due to the inherently
dangerous nature of the industry and requirements to work with or
around hazardous equipment, employees must be able to maintain
attention and concentration for extended periods of time. Prior
experience in working with a tree crew in a safe & productive
manner. Trained to perform tree and bucket rescue. Must be able to
wear necessary PPE as per task assigned. Must be able to safely
drive an approved company vehicle. Must have physical attributes to
complete essential elements of position Must be able to withstand
exposure to all kinds of weather, and various terrains, while
completing work assignments, i.e. rain, heat, sun, cold . Must be
able to write, read and comprehend written and verbal job
instructions/information. Must be able to lift, move and maneuver
heavy weights up to 50 pounds on an infrequent basis, but up to 10
pounds on a frequent basis. Must have a valid driver's license.
Must pass an MVR check according to region guidelines. Must pass a
pre-employment drug test. EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE • High
school education or GED • 1 year relevant work experience TRDI
