Hiring immediately for our Entry Level Marketing role!

Overview:

• Full time position (30-40 hours)
• Fully in person role: advocate and fundraise at local events, such as markets, malls, etc. for our charity supporting kids in the foster care system
• Entry level, no college degree required
• Fun role for people who love talking to others We are proud to partner with a highly-regarded charity that has been advocating and supporting kids in the foster care system for over 50 years. What do we do, and why do we raise funds? The money we raise goes towards opening advocacy centers across the country where kids can go and receive any services they need to help provide safety and stability after school. We also donate backpacks full of toiletries, school supplies, toys, etc. to make sure kids have items of their own possessions no matter where they go.
  
  In this role, you will be a valued member of our fundraising team. Here you are the front lines of representing and supporting our organization. You will work at a variety of in person, local, high-visibility events, such as markets, restaurants, and stores, both indoors and outdoors. Your daily responsibilities will be to engage with guests, passionately share our cause, and inspire them to contribute funds. To excel in this position you must be extremely outgoing and not afraid to talk to a wide variety of guests, as this is the main responsibility of this role. This is an entry level role, no prior experience is required.
  
  Daily role responsibilities:
  • Engage with individuals at various local, in person events to communicate our charity's mission and goals
  • Strive to turn every interaction into a donation made
  • Set up displays and take down displays
  • Participate in fundraising events both indoors and outdoors, and engage with potential donors to explain how their funds will make an impact
  • Demonstrate exceptional knowledge of our charitable partners and provide accurate answers to potential donors' questions with the utmost professionalism
  • Exhibit a self-motivated and competitive spirit to help raise as much money as possible
  • Bring a positive, motivating energy to the team
  • Attend daily and weekly team meetings and actively contribute to group discussions
  • Attend mandatory training sessions to further enhance skills and knowledge. What can you expect by joining our team?

      • High school diploma or GED required (18+)
      • Must have own reliable transportation to and from events
      • Must be able to work 30-40 hours
      • Must have a passion for helping others and a love for working with the public
      • Must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills, and be able to adapt to speaking with various audiences for hours at a time
      • Must possess a self motivating drive to hit individual and team donation goals
      • Must be comfortable working indoors and outdoors
      • Must be comfortable standing for multiple hours at a time
