Job Description Job Description Admissions Officer Compensation: $19.96/hr. Job Summary Under general supervision, this role is responsible for the administrative management and coordination of admissions functions and reporting support. The Admissions Officer also participates in strategic planning and marketing efforts related to student recruitment. Key Responsibilities - Assist in the recruitment and evaluation of student admissions in collaboration with academic program leaders and related departments - Advise prospective students and parents on the application process - Review and evaluate admissions application documents across multiple platforms - Respond to inquiries from prospective, current, and admitted students regarding application and matriculation status - Support planning and coordination of student recruitment events - Participate in local and out-of-area recruitment fairs - Maintain relationships with organizations and individuals involved in the admissions process - Support marketing initiatives across online, print, and social media channels - Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications Education - Bachelor’s degree required Experience - Up to 1 year of related experience required Certifications (Preferred) - Participation in professional organizations such as TAAHP or TACRAO Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Strong customer service skills - Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities - High attention to detail with strong editing skills - Effective planning and time management skills - Ability to work with diverse groups including faculty, staff, and the public - Self-motivated with the ability to complete tasks independently - Knowledge of admissions and academic requirements - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, social media platforms, and general office equipment Work Environment - Office environment Physical Requirements - Ability to perform sedentary to medium physical activity (up to 50 pounds) - Activities may include lifting, standing, walking, sitting, typing, reaching, stooping, pushing, pulling, and repetitive hand motion - Ability to communicate effectively (talking and hearing) - Driving may be required Visual Requirements - No special vision requirements Additional Information This description outlines the general nature of the role and is not a comprehensive list of all responsibilities or requirements.
