(U.S.-based; minimal travel 0–10%) The Company Tivic Health is a
clinical-stage company advancing the field of biologics. Tivic’s
lead drug candidate, Entolimod™ to treat Acute Radiation Syndrome
(ARS), is in late-stage development. Entolimod™ is a TLR5 agonist
that activates an innate immune pathway to prevent cell death in
the bone marrow and epithelial tissues across systems impacted by

https://tivichealth.com/ Position Summary Reporting directly to the
CFO, the Corporate Controller will lead accounting and financial
reporting for this pre-revenue, publicly traded pharmaceutical
company. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys owning the
details, operating in a lean environment, and maintaining
public-company rigor while helping build scalable processes. This
key role will supervise the Plant Controller at our wholly owned
subsidiary, Velocity Bioworks, Inc., a contract design and
manufacturing organization (CDMO) responsible for the manufacture
of our lead drug candidate, Entolimod™. Key Responsibilities Manage
the monthly, quarterly and annual close, including journal entries
and account reconciliations. Prepare monthly reporting package to
management. Prepare U.S. GAAP consolidated financial statements and
support for SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K and Proxy). Manage R&D
and clinical trial accounting, including CROs and manufacturing
development costs. Oversee equity accounting, including stock-based
compensation and warrants. Lead SOX compliance and internal control
documentation. Work with external auditors and tax advisors to
support financials, disclosures and tax returns. Oversee billing,
accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger,
inventory/cost accounting, and revenue recognition. Maintain
general ledger day to day through to and including month-end
closings. Implement and maintain proper internal controls. Manage
and control all expenses, accruals, and collaboration agreements.
Conduct accurate and timely month and year-end closings in
accordance with corporate policy. Review subsidiary monthly
reporting package within mandated timelines and work with
subsidiary Controller to ensure reconciliation of intercompany
accounts. Process fixed asset additions, transfers, and disposals.
Improve accounting processes and systems in a growing, pre-revenue
environment Ensure GAAP accounting compliance for areas such as
revenue recognition, lease accounting and stock-based compensation.
Perform monthly analysis of budget-to-actual results and provide
timely reporting to key stakeholders. Assist with annual budget
process of the Company and subsidiaries, including quarterly or
other reforecasting as needed. Assist with preparation of board
materials including financial results and budget-to-actual results.
Oversee system implementations as needed, including ERP system and
equity administration system. Serve on special projects as
requested. Requirements: Education & Experience Certified Public
Accountant (CPA) license preferred. Bachelor’s degree in accounting
or finance Strong public company and SEC reporting experience.
Public accounting experience with 8 years of private industry
experience, preferably in the life sciences/biotech/pharmaceutical
industry. Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word,
Power Point, etc.), QuickBooks Online and NetSuite (preferred).
Understanding of US GAAP and SOX. Comfortable being highly hands-on
in a lean organization. Nice to have – Big-4 or national public
accounting experience; clinical-stage company experience with
clinical trial and CRO accounting. Knowledge & Skills Exceptional
internal and external relationship management capabilities.
Diplomacy, listening, independent work skills, and strong work
ethics. Excellent problem-solving skills, and business
decision-making skills. Strong attention to detail; self-motivation
with strong organization, communication (written and verbal), and
computer skills (expertise with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
Physical & Travel Requirements While on-site performing the job
duties, the employee is regularly required to sit; reach with hands
and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to
stand and walk. The employee may sometimes be required to lift
and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by
this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust
focus. The employee must have manual dexterity and manual ability
to effectively use computer terminals. Work is generally performed
Monday-Friday during normal business operating hours. Travel:
