Job Description Job Description JOB TITLE: Billing Clerk OVERVIEW: Opportunity for an experienced individual in accounts receivable and accounts payable. He/she will process credit card payments, checks, ACH’s, and wire transfers from bank to LIS software. He/she will maintain an understanding of the outstanding accounts receivable and communicate as necessary with clients to help in the collection of payments. Requirements : Experience in accounts receivable and account payable. Proficiency in Excel Ability to work independently, prioritize duties, and carry through with all steps needed to complete each function. Ability to clearly identify and communicate concerns in a timely fashion. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / TASKS: Process payments received by credit card, ACH, wire transfers, and checks. Post payments according to the various accounts Work outstanding accounts receivable reports for the collection of outstanding invoices. Backup the accounts payable/purchasing position. Willingness to cross train as necessary Independently analyzes payment data and interpret adjustments as necessary. Advise supervisor of factors that may affect quality and usefulness of data. Contribute ideas and suggestions to improve current processes in place. Good Problem-solving and critical thinking skills Demonstrate consistently good communication and interpersonal skills with employees, management, and clients. Must be a US citizen or permanent resident.
