Job Description:
Heritage Construction is a successful and established roofing
company based in Austin. We are hiring Outside Sales
Representatives; we provide a comprehensive training program and a
chance to grow your sales career.Job responsibilities and skills
required for this position:* *Product Knowledge:* You should be
well-versed in the roofing services and products your company
offers. Understand different roofing materials, their benefits, and
how they apply to different types of roofs and projects.* *Lead
Generation:* Identify potential customers in the areas you are
assigned to. This involves researching neighborhoods, using
demographic data, and creating a list of properties that may need
roofing services.* *Door-to-Door Sales:* Approach homeowners and
businesses in your designated area to introduce your company's
roofing services. Be prepared to explain the benefits, answer
questions, and provide information about the company.* *Customer
Consultation:* Listen to potential clients' roofing concerns and
requirements. Assess their needs and offer expert advice and
solutions based on your company's services.* *Estimations and
Proposals:* Provide on-the-spot estimates and proposals for
potential clients, including outlining the scope of work, materials
to be used, and pricing. Carry relevant marketing materials and
documents.* *Negotiation:* Be prepared to negotiate terms and
pricing with potential clients. Address any objections or concerns
they may have.* *Building Relationships:* Develop and maintain
strong relationships with the people you meet. Building trust and
rapport is crucial for success in door-to-door sales.* *Follow-Up:*
After your initial visit, follow up with potential clients to
answer any additional questions, provide more information, and
ultimately secure the sale.* *Documentation:* Maintain accurate
records of your interactions with potential clients, including
their contact information and specific needs or concerns.* *Time
Management:* Plan your route efficiently to maximize your visits
and cover as many potential clients as possible within your
designated area.* *Adaptability:* Be prepared for a variety of
responses, including rejections. The ability to handle rejection
professionally and move on to the next potential customer is
essential.* *Customer Service:* Provide excellent customer service
to clients, even after the sale has been made. Address any issues
or concerns they may have throughout the roofing project.* *Meeting
Sales Targets:* You may be expected to meet specific sales targets
or quotas set by your company. Regular reporting on your sales
activities and progress is usually required.Working as a
door-to-door outside sales representative for a roofing company
requires strong interpersonal and communication skills. It's
essential to be personable, persistent, and professional when
dealing with potential clients. Your role will often involve
working outdoors and may require a fair amount of walking or
